The Red Shed was built by Chris Humphrey the owner and assisted by Jim Williams a master craftsman. Every detail has been thought of for your comfort and enjoyment by these two incredible local guys, and this is reflected in the beauty of the finish in this quality shepherd's hut. From the built-in full size double bed, to the compact kitchen, wood finished interior and shower/toilet room to the wrinkly tin cladding, everything was designed and constructed on site by Chris and Jim who live in the village of Lampeter Velfrey.
The private outside area creates the feeling of a personal, quiet space and is complete with garden furniture, patio and private parking. Stunning scenery surrounds you and on one side you have the river Marlais gently flowing through the field whilst on the other you have Chris's beautiful, inquisitive Boer goats frolicking in the meadow.
Conceived and built in 2021 to a very high specification, The Red Shed is unique in its design and location. The interior decor is snug but tasteful in warm tones that will make you feel at home.
Located in pastureland off a quite country lane and tucked away behind the goat shed, The Red Shed is hidden from view and can only be seen by the goats. A welcome pack is provided on arrival and if Jim's ducks are laying, you might also get some fresh duck eggs. Outside in the veg plot, you will be able to pick your own tomatoes, greens, salad crops and other vegetables when in season, all organic.
Wake up to the sound of birdsong, the soft snuffling of baby goats, the trickle of the nearby brook and the smell of fresh, clean country air. Take your breakfast outside on the patio and absorb the deep relaxation that the solitude of this peaceful hideaway can bring. Just chill and leave your cares behind and experience the transformation that this small slice of rural Pembrokeshire can bring.
